How to make your own beautiful stationery with Crafty Chez designs
If you want to make your own stationery (whether you have a creative streak or want to save money)
I will personalise certain items for you,
however if you want them blank like the invitation insert just let me know
If you're on a tight budget this is a great way of creating your own stationery - you can just print & cut out or you can embellish your stationery if you wish.
Printing your own stationery means you can print as many as you want whether it be 10, 100 or 200 - the choice is yours
Tip #1 - Choose your card to print your stationery
To print your stationery on always choose a white/ cream/ Ivory colour for the design & writing to stand out (if you choose a dark or bright colour your design & writing will not stand out and disappear into the background of the card)
Choose a plain card or for that more luxurious feeling choose a pearlescent or textured card stock (print on cardstock approx 200gsm)
If your printer won't take card (as some don't) just print on paper but make sure good quality, I recommend approx 120gsm
This is the company I use for stationery & it's really good quaility https://www.thepaperbox.co.uk/paper-card/
Tip #2 - choose background card
Choose it your having a flat invitation or as a card with the invitation inside the card
Choose your colour, maybe to match the theme e.g Sunflower stationery do you want a yellow card or maybe a black/ brown or maybe a blue to make the stationery pop out.
Do you want a pocket fold?
Here's a link for the card/ invitation pocketfolds etc https://www.thepaperbox.co.uk/paper-card/
Tip #3 - personalised Service
Parts of your stationery, I can personalise for you - all I would need is the relevant information & I will the contact you via email to ask if it's ok or you want any changes - once you've approved it, I will send you the in relevant stationery via email & you can then print as many times as you wish
Tip #4 Embellishments
If you want to, you can add your own embellishments
Ribbon
Ribbon Bows
Diamante
Glitter
3D Embellishment
of course with my designs you can just print and stick to card if you wish - its your choice
Tip #5 - Adhesive
There's a variety of adhesives on the market - you may have your own favourites
These are items I recommend
Foam Tape/ squares can get from a variety of online craft stores, I buy mine from The Works
Quickie Glue Pen - great for small areas of glitter
Glue I recommend Construction Glue from Hunkydory Crafts
(this is a solvent glue) https://www.hunkydorycrafts.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=glue
I always prefer a wet glue, as you have time time wiggle your card in place
Remember to have fun
Have some fun creating your wedding stationery, maybe get a couple of family members/ friends to help and enjoy creating your wedding stationery
Take time doing this - don't rush it (your more than likely to get stressed with it all and end up rushing it)
